The safety light curtain consists of two parts: The transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter modulated infrared light, which is received by the light receiver, forming a protective net, when an object enters the protective net, when there is light from it blocked by an object, through the internal control line, the light receiver circuit immediately responds, that is, in the output part of the output a signal for machine tools such as punches, presses, etc., emergency brakes. Light curtains have a very wide range of applications, for example, in the need to continuously feed the material stamping equipment, if the installation of contact safety doors, the operator needs to frequently open and close the door, which not only increases the workload of the operator, but also reduces the production efficiency. In this case, the use of light grids and light curtains is the best choice. When the operator feeds and picks up materials, as long as any part of the body to block the light, it will cause the machine to enter a safe state without bringing harm to the operator.    

The density of the beam determines how large a body part can pass through the light curtain before being detected. According to ergonomic data, the adult finger diameter should be not less than 14mm, palm thickness of not less than 30mm, wrist diameter of not less than 40mm, for example: if the use of the light curtain of the optical axis spacing is 40mm, the diameter of the optical axis is 20mm, it's resolution is 40 + 20 = 60mm, then the value of the hand, the palm, the wrist and the arm may be passed through the light curtain and will not be detected. Therefore, if you want to obtain higher security, you need to use a higher resolution light curtain.    

When using light barriers and light curtains, there are certain requirements for installation, which do not allow people to bypass the light barriers and light curtains and enter the dangerous area, and also do not allow light reflecting surfaces near the light barriers and light curtains, so that the receiver can receive the reflected light and fail to output safety switching signals. In addition, the use of the grating and light curtain environment also has certain requirements, if the environment is too dusty, will affect the emission of light, thus affecting the use of the grating and light curtain.
